Welcome

Sewing is great fun. It is a great way to express your creativity and experiment. I always enjoy creating something one of a kind for either myself, my household or for special gifts.

Since I have been sewing since the beginning of time and have taught sewing classes, a few of my friends talked me into teaching them how to sew (A shout out to Deb and Kelly!). Since we are all busy with our work and lives, getting time together to sew is always a challenge. So I designed the information on this website for them. I want them to have a resource for them to check back and create.

I plan to have sewing crafts that they can use at home, and at the same time learn a new sewing skill. You are welcome to join us!

Learning to sew is like learning a new language. I want to make sure that we use the “sewing language” in a way that anyone can understand, and will venture out and try the techniques at home.

There are many ways to do the same techniques, and if you are a more advanced seamstress you may do things differently. Get a roomful of seamstresses together and they will all have their own way of doing the same technique! That is perfectly ok. What I am showing here is some of the easier ways of doing techniques. The goal is to encourage sewers to go out and try it themselves.

If you are new to sewing -Welcome! Be sure to bookmark this website. I will be adding new information as time allows.

If you have questions you can always reach me at kberger@pacbell.net.

Have fun and happy creating!
